Vintage Gel is easy to use and creates a two-tone antique look or a patina on natural leathers, while enhancing handwork for embossed effects.
Its main function is not to completely dye or protect, but to act as a decorative accent finish, highlighting engravings and embossing. The gel builds up in the crevices, cuts, and low areas of the handcrafted work. This creates a strong dark contrast that makes the design "pop" and gain three-dimensional depth.
It creates a two-tone effect, leaving the recesses darker and the flat or raised parts lighter, simulating natural wear and tear over time.

- Gel for antiquing leather.
- For use on vegetable-tanned leathers.
- Apply the desired amount of Vintage Gel to a soft, dry cloth or sheepskin.
- Apply to the leather with small circular motions until the surface has a uniform color.
- Remove excess immediately with a clean, soft cloth. Continue rubbing until the surface achieves a uniform sheen.
- Allow to dry completely.
- Apply Fiebing's Premier Leather Finish for a final seal.
- If you don't want the flat parts to absorb too much color, first apply a light coat of a sealant like Fiebing's Tan-Kote or a protective lacquer and let it dry.

DEFERRED SHIPMENTS
The products marked with deferred shipping mode are requested on demand directly from the manufacturer once the order is completed, which is why the delivery times of these products are longer than usual (approx. 20 days), depending on the manufacturer's availability.
If your order includes products in stock and products with deferred shipping, we will make two shipments. One with the products we have in stock, and another once we receive the merchandise. In this way you will not have to wait until the order is complete to receive it.
This shipping method will not be valid for shipments with payment method cash on delivery. In this case, the entire order will be sent once it is complete in a single shipment.
